Pull myself together...*safe*

I'm going through one of them down-stages again, and I really need to pull myself together for Thursday because that's when I'm going to my next training to be a peer mentor... I'm scared I wont be capable to help others if I am on my low again...I've been putting it off for a while, ignoring it...but it's got worse and now the only things keeping me together are my hypnotherapist (she's great, so kind and I can ring her/email her whenever and she'll be there) and the fact I get to be a peer mentor and help other people. If I'm not together on Thursday they wont allow me in to be one and I will break. My life will end.
I know this sounds stupid and a small thing to 'rant' and 'worry' about, but hey, that's me and my screwed up head...

Hi,

Sorry to hear you're on a downer at the moment, I can relate and know how horrible it can be. I think it's important you don't worry about whether or not the downer will be over by Thursday, the more pressure you put on yourself the more likely it is that you're going to feel worse. Try and take each day as it comes and if on Thursday things are still feeling impossible then you should think about what to do on the day.
When I'm on a downer I try to stick to as many normal activities as possible, it might sound stupid but I find that eating regularly helps and not skipping meals. Also, trying to stick to a regular sleeping pattern. Sometimes distraction can help and also getting out in to the open world. If you stay cooped up at home, however attractive it sounds, you just have time to think about the thoughts and feelings you are experiencing and it goes around in a catch-22 situation.
Are there people you can talk to? Or even just people you can go with to take your mind off the downer for a while?

Hope you feel better soon =)

Thanks *hug* I will try some of the things you mentioned...except I don't really eat regularly...and I don't want to.

i know it sounda obvious, but spend time doing fun things with friends. instead of going home after college on ure own, go to a friends or something. sleep properly and stick to a normal routine :)
