RYL Forums - laughing for weeks

Since I posted the bad side of this here, I thought it would be a good place to share the latest developments here.

I've had quite the week and there are still a couple of days left in it. Nightmares and flashbacks over the weekend. The flashbacks aren't disabling but they are disruptive. Took mom-in-law to outpatient surgery on Monday, went fine but of course is stressful. Lost sleep Tuesday and last night to volunteer work.

I'm so exhausted that i've been laughing hysterically some of the day.

My family is so big that we do a name draw for Christmas. Christmas 2006 I gave my aunt (and my uncle) who live in the desert a hand made quilt for Christmas. The materials for it were 3x my usual budget for gifts, never mind the time. January 2007, my uncle kicked me off his property. Christmas 2007 a package comes in the mail, addressed to me no name but label is in my uncle's writing, not ticking so I opened it. Gift certificate for a pizza place, enough for one meal.
On the advice of a friend I did not send coal in the thank you note. Had to send a note, only polite.

Today I got a card in the mail, my parents' writing and address. They sent the name draw slips for Christmas 2008. I got the name of my dear uncle in the desert. I'm giggling as I write this. My higher power has an interesting sense of humor. I have a cute little fridge magnet that is a locomotive carved into coal and then varnished. Ooooh does that give me ideas. But I've already decided that I will get for him a gift certificate for Wal*Mart, there is one in their small town, in the amount which is my usual budget for gifts.
