Manic
Anyone seen it?
It's an independent film I watched on IFC the other day. I have mixed feelings about it. I didn't really like Lyle, but that's because he reminded me of my ex. And it ended just as it began -- with nothing resolved, but I thought that was an appropriate ending. |
I love Manic, it's actually a really good film.
You may not of liked Lyle due to the fact he reminds you of your ex, but you can't deny that Joseph Gordon-Levitt is an amazing actor. |
oooh ive still to watch it, i got it a few weeks back and have been meaning to watch it for ages.
|
It's worth the watch, and I can't deny that Joseph Gorgon-Levitt is an amazing actor. Personally, I wish they would have gone deeper into the backstory of Kenny.
|
i haven't seen it yet, but i will, as soon as i get it!
|
i saw it about 3 months ago.
i really liked it. :) worth the watch, even if you don't like it in the end. speaking of end : the ending was a bit odd O.o x |
i just watched it!! it was really good, but i didn't like the end. what happened in the end?? did he return?
|
Well, you're supposed to question whether or not he did return. It was an ambiguous ending, like the Giver. I like to think that he returned.
It was also mirroring that painting "Freedom". If you look at it from the standpoint of the gothic girl (been a while since I've seen it, can't remember her name) it represents freedom and moving toward freedom. If you look at it from the standpoint of the rasta kid (yet again, names) "that painting has borders. It ENDS. Here, here, here, and here. ... That road is going NOWHERE". How is it that I can't remember names but I can remember lines? |
maybe because the lines were important to you?
|
I watched it the other night, it was good, thanks for the recommendation!
|
I can't really remember it but I know I liked it.
