What do you think of them?

Also, where's a good place to get one that's not amazingly small, but easy to hide?

Ideally I want a full sleve [so ****ing sexy, and amazing, and yeah] but if I do get one of them it's not going to be for a few years yet.

I want something for my nan, but something better than a heart iwth "nan" written inside it or her name on my butt.

Her favourite flowers were lily's, but I think that might be a bit overdone?

I aint gonna go and get exactly what you suggest, but I'm kinda looking around and thought I'd ask here for a bit of insipiration.

I think lillys are lovely, if you do it your own way its not overdone at all.

Especailly as I can't let my rents see it. Although if I decide that I want one somewhere obvious [which I don't really, I want to be able to cover it up] I'll wait for it.

My parents dont mind, but I want it to be visable, whats the point in getting one if no one can see it.

I really like tattoos that are either on the shoulder or on your trouser/skirt etc line they are visible at points but not to visible so as to cause problems with jobs etc..

I want mine to be somewhere where people can see it if I decide to show it off, but can hide it if I don't want to.

Places like ankles or arms [saving that for my sleeve! Haha] are out of the question, but any where else isn't.

Either along my knicker line [on the right hand side], lower back [but that's SOO over done] or shoulder blade [again, SOO over done]. Or I could get a bigger one up my side...

I don't have any, and I don't want any. However, depending on the person and the tattoo, they can be uber sexy. They guy from Dashboard Confessional with his sleeves is just drool-worthy.

A single lily, or just the lily flower would look really nice. As for placement, your parents never see the small of your back do they? Or your ankle if you wear tall socks, or your upper, outer thigh...I can't think of anywhere else good right now.

I wanted a small one on my 'clean' wrist but my mum said it would make her sad. Its all so confusing.

I got mine done on impulse on a random mad day out. Never even consdered getting one before then.
Its on my lower back as i dont want my rents to see it, but its ace to show off espc in town when playing pool. I will try an put a pic up, but the only pic i got is alwful, but I dont know where my camera wire is to redo it.

Belly button tats look cool as well i think.

Lower back, shoulder and knicker-line are over-done, but I think thats because those are 3 spots that you can hide it easily, but also show it off if you want to.

Anyone know what happens to them if you lose weight [sensibly, not like 5 stone in a day]?

What about like the stem going up from my upper thigh to my hip and then the actual flower head on my side/lower back.

ha. ermm depends where they are if you lose weight. Think it can cause problems, but you can use creams on them as well while losing weight to prevent it.

You could get one up your side. You wouldnt see that unless you were wearing a bikini but you could still show it to people. Failing that, top of your thigh. Then you can wear a skirt with a split an show it off.

If you loose weight there is the chance that the tattoo could move slightly if it's over an area with a lot of fatty tissue, such as your legs/hips/stomach. (This is in no way a personal comment, it's just fact that humans have more fat there then say their ankle).

If you get it on your upper thigh, going to your side/back, and then you loose weight, what is prolly going to happen is the tattoo will appear higher up on your body then it originally did. If you gain weight it could cause the tattoo to stretch out and become disfigured. If you loose massive amounts of weight and end up with flaps of loose skin that could also affect the tattoo.

what about the back of your neck?

ive got one on the lower part of my back but not right low down and its quite big so it can be seen unless i wear long tops or high cut trousers. its a fairy.

after my wedding i want another tatt, either on my ankle but going up from my foot round my ankle and up my leg a bit or the back of my neck (or both). i also want my wrist pierced but thats a different story!
