Bulimia: A Poem
 

I wrote this July 10, 2006 while I was still struggling daily with Bulimia. It's not very good but I still sometimes relate strongly to it.

Bulimia

The spirit is empty
So you fill the body
Until the body is aching
And you must pour it back out
Worshipping idols
Pantry, refridgerator
Porcelain goddess bids you
Kneel to her and tithe
Look, there goes your life!
Swirling away...
Goodbye!
