I'm planning on taking a break in September from work/colleg and will have some gaps in my employment dates. How would I eplain these gaps?

Why are you taking time off, if you don't mind me asking? The best option is almost definitely to be honest.

Only explains the gaps if you are asked. I don't know your reasons for taking the breaks but it is probably best to be honest. If you feel you can't, you could say you went travelling or something.

I agree, only explain if you are asked. If you cant tell them why, the one thing to not do is make up some ellaborate lie that you will end up being caught out by

If asked be honest as if you lie and they find out in can be a case for instant dismissal.

As you are taking time off from college it should just look like you have been in uni for longer.

I'm taking tim out because this last year or so has been very stressful for me and I feel I need a break.

iv just recently taken a year off work...and when asked about it/why i left my last job. i just said personal or medical reasons. then they asked will this interfere with you working now and i just said no.

if you say personal or medical reasons they have no need to know what they were.
