Why fucking bother??

I have been trying so hard for the last week or so to be positive, not cut, etc etc and today one of the people I am supposed to be living with next year told me her parents who are ****ing Doctors told her she is not allowed to live with me because it isn't safe! Apparently my self harming makes me a ****ing danger to other people so now I have nowhere to live next year. I turned down an offer from people on my course because this was all supposed to be sorted. I actually have nowhere to live.

What the **** is the point in trying? :crying: :crying:

Well if your friend is of university age and can't make her own decisions then shame on her (she's not much of a friend) and as for her parents what time of doctors are they??? (WITCH DOCTORS)

Don't let other peoples ignorance/ nastiness put you off!

Certainly don't give them the satisfaction of self harming!

You've got plenty of time to find alternative accomodation AND YOU WILL!
Don't you dare stop trying, all the respect is on you!

Let us know how you get on!

Take Care

uni accommodation is a real bitch and one of the reasons i continued to keep it secret at that age. fear not, there will be plenty of people in the same boat as housing shifts a great deal at this point in your life - look out for ads, put up your own, and tell EVERYBODY you are looking - the word will get out. in my 2nd year i ended up living with 3 people i never lived with before coz someone else screwed me over, and we got on fabulously - one of them i still live with 4 years on. it works out, trust. dont get into a downward spiral over it. xxx

Try to have faith that everything will work out in the end. "they" wont let you go homeless and as StillVacant says, you may end up meeting the best people you could hope for through this. Don't give up.
*hugs*

I know it is not the end of the world, I just feel like I have been betrayed in some way. I struggled enough deciding to go to uni and I thought I was finally making friends and starting to enjoy it, but no. The people I thought were friends here have all been talking about me behind my back. Apparently my wouldhavebeen housemates have been advertising behind my back since start of term.

Thanks for your hugs and replies though, it means a lot :)

i am backing you. not stabbing you. ;)

I'm sorry, no advice on the housing.

I do understand the feeling of betrayal. An aa sponsor "fired" me last year after I SI'd and had and then had an incidence of PTSD the next day. She said she was concerned about her physical safety. Bleh, some friend that.
