So much Stress!!!
Hello RYL goons,
Just needed some support I guess. I am an A level student and I'm basically breaking apart because of the tons of pressure about exams. I have too much work to do, in too little time, and it's just really depressing me. I've been "free" from self harm of all forms for a while now, but this is just pushing me to a point where I'm thinking about self harm again. I really don't want that... I feel like a complete fool. I haven't had any motivation to do any revision today and I don't know, I'm scared of failing :crying: My first exam is on the Tuesday and I really don't think I'm prepared at all for it  I just wish I was normal, well... I wish I was intelligent so I wouldn't be in this place in the first place. Just wondering if anyone else is out there who is in the same position. Just need someone with me  ~ Timmeh |
is there anyone who you could talk to about how stressed you are? can you revise with a friend? that can make revision fun and take the pressure off.
well done for being free of self harm that is a massive achievment. Talk to someone about how you are feelig they might be able to help. feel free to pm if you need to talk. gill |
i know just how you are feeling. i am doing my A levels too. and my first exam is on monday and i have no motivation to revise. maybe you could talk to a friend about things and even ask them to help with your revision.
and well done for not self harming! kati |
I do talk to people about how stressed I am, but it doesn't work. I mean, at the time it feels better but then the thoughts and feelings of failing just flood my head again and right now I'm just scared.
All my friends are in work right now or their with their own families. I'm just scared right now, I feel so alone =( |
you are not alone people at RYL are always here, and you can always talk to us.
gill :hop: :-D |
The best you can do to feel less stressed is organise your revisions. Make up a schedule of revisions for the week with goals to reach each day and stick to it.
A high level of stress is unproductive. If you feel panic rising, go for a run or something to empty your head for a half hour. I'm sure you'r going to do fine. It's all stuff you've already done, you just need to complete what's already in your head and to practice. Pm me if you wanna talk :) |
I know what you mean. I had my AS exams last week and i was just so unmotivated. i didnt do as much work as i should have. In the end, we just have to make ourselves do it. Maybe break it down into like an hour or even half and hour, then have a 10 minute break. maybe that will help make it feel more managable.
good luck, and wel done for being free from self harm for a while. Your not alone, you can always post here xx |
