Look around for tutors, they're better than ebooks and programs, but I'm broke so I ed guitar pro 5 and a bunch of tabs.

But I'll still be your friend.

I'm a self taught guitarist :)

Mainly taught myself online. Don't bother with those stupid books or online tutorials. All I did was learnt to read tabs and then tried to play some of my favourite songs. Starting off easy off course.
I learnt simple guitar chords. After about 3-4 chords are learnt, you can usually play a song. (Oasis - Wonderwall is probably one of the easiest around) Then just keep learning new chords and learning new songs.

i wish i had the patience to learn.
we have a dusty old acoustic guitar in the shed.

ps!
have fun in disneylanddd.
!

I tried to learn through youtube and websites like ultimate-guitar.com but i could only manage the intros to a few songs.
I found the finger placement changes a huge problem as well as chords and remembering the tabs as i cant sight read. I think i needed to be taught the basics to be able to do if successfully. However we were and still are in debt so i couldnt afford a tutor and my only acoustic guitar playing friends were more into 'jamming' or showing off what they knew.

Ontop of that my cat kept on nudging the turning pegs like cats do which turned them round and out of tune and i was pants at tuning it.

Ha ha i still have it though - its only a 3/4 but it shall have to collect dust for now unless someone wants to help us idiots :P

Get a sheet or book that shows you the fingering for chords. I'm just learning and so far I've done A, E, G, D, C, Am, Em. Practise changing between chords and then get a book of hits for buskers. They are full of easy songs without too many chord changes. And just learn songs.

Good Luck, and enjoy disneyland

I can play.
I've also been told I'm not too much of a bad teacher.

Really not sure how that would help though.

But men are designed to carry things?
Why do you think us girls take you shopping?

Porbably wont bring it though if the weather is still like this - the case isnt waterproof.
