anyways, i was wondering how many of us would actually go to a hospital and ask a nurse for a blade?

I no longer self harm but i think i would have if i knew they were handing them out.

I don't know, depends how desperate i was/the situation/lots of other stuff.

for me it depends on who the nurse is. there are a few nurses in our local area who i would be comforatable asking because they know me, they know my past etc, but it would still depend on how desperate i am and the situation. Any other nurse. No i probably wouldnt. I'd just go to the shops.

i think if i were in the hospital already then yes...but i would never drive to the hospital just to get some blades...seriously...might as well buy them cause it would cost more in gas to get to the hospital...

Thats a telling post... I wish some people high up in these plans could read that.

Yes, I'd go get some, even though I'm technically "recovering". I'm pretty deperate/pathetic. And I'm up at the hospital pretty much all the time anyway (my mam works there + my counselling + it's up my road) so I wouldn't be making a special trip or anything.

I don't think I would because I would be too embarrased & also I wouldn't want the questions - I would feel really guilty as well, even though they probably wouldn't care I would feel guilty knowing they gave me that blade.

Having said that though, if I was desperate maybe, but I doubt it.

I would feel bad and slightly ashamed for asking, also theres something in me that might feel a bit bad if someone just handed something to me that i would hurt myself with.
I find it difficult asking for help or anything so to go into a hospital or to a nurse to get medication than okay but to ask for a blade of all things i dont think i could do.

It depends on the situation I guess. If I'm trapped in a hospital and I need to cut and nothing else worked, I'd ask. However, as for normally, no. It would be much easier and less humiliating to just go to the store and buy a 10 pack for $1.50.

I know i would,the hospital is pretty close to me,closer than where i buy my razors from.And i mean if you get them once,then they won't ask the questions again,so it won't be as awqard.
