Dermablend
Does anyone in the US know where you can buy dermablend? and, how much does it cost? Does it really work? I have some fairly dark scars that haven't/aren't fading with Vitamin E oil. :(

Im in canada.but...an ex-friend had eye surgery and wanted to hide the fact so she bout some and you could see a thing, not even up close!! She gave me what was left (as it IS does cast alot) but it was the wrong shade for me , didnt match m,y skin tone but it DID cover the scars COMPLETELY.
WE have stores like Sears and The Bay, high-end stores with costmetis as well as clothes good luck. I would ask the girl st the shop if she has a sample you can try to make certain you get tthe proper shade. GOOD LUCK romp |
yeah, well then I'll have to show my scars. ergh. I am gonna check it out...

Uh, have you looked for it online? Usually you can find a place that sells on line but their internet stuff is just an extension of their "brick and mortar" stores.
I just found a bit of a trick that helps. I'm using special two sided tape that I'm using to hold the hem of the short sleeve of my shirt in place. I use it when I teach. If you do find a supplier of dermablend here in the states, let me know? |
I think Sephora has it but I'm not sure. The nearest Sephora to me is 30 mins away...I've tried using concealer but you can totally tell it's makeup...

The Dermablend website says that it can be found at Ulta stores. I live in LA, and Ulta is in four of the Macy's stores in my area. Might want to look up your nearest Macy's, if it's closer...see if they have an Ulta counter.
I'm totally going. Glad you brought this up. |
If you go to the website www.dermablend.com and go to store locator, you can pinpoint what might be closest.
Here in Texas: Macy's, Dillard, and Jcpenny sells the stuff. It depends on what product as to the cost. A tube of the liquid paste stuff costs about $25. I went to Macy's and they did the match. (Remember the inside of your arm is lighter than the outside, so dont match the top of your hand.) But she gave me a couple of small sample tubes...I only use it when going out to a social..or larger gathering...oh wait I dont go to large socials...lol...anyway...the small trail has lasted me some time. And another sugestion is calling or writing the company. They usually can send you a small array of color samples that are in your tone range. Good luck, Rain |
