A Saturday Night Story - presents for teacher
It was the end of the school year at a primary school and a number of children had brought in presents for their teacher in Class Four.
First, the florist's son gave her a beautifully wrapped package. She held it above her head, shook it lightly, and said "I think it's flowers. Am I right?" "Yes" said the boy. Her next present was from the daughter of a sweet shop owner. She held the package above her head, shook it and said "I think it's a box of sweets. Am I right?" "Yes" said the girl. Next came another beautifully wrapped present from a boy whose father owned a local wine bar. The teacher held it above her head and shook it but, as she did so, it started to leak. She touched a drop of the leakage with her finger and put it on her tongue. "I think it's wine. Am I right?" "No" said the boy. The teacher tasted another drop of the leakage. "Is it champagne?" "No" said the boy. The teacher tried a slightly heftier slurp but, unable to recognise it, conceded defeat. "OK, I give up. What is it?" "It's a puppy, Miss" said the boy. Tony. |

Reminds me of a boy i used to go to school with. Always used to bring the teacher raisins. So when one day he came in with no raisins, she made a joke about it, to which this kid got all tearful and said 'sorry miss, there won't be any more raisins. My rabbit died.'
