people taking your stuff!!

AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!

I had quite alot of alcohol in the fridge worth about £30, i go into the fridge this morning and its gone (and it wasnt me drinking it when ive forgot i didnt even do anything last night)

anyway its really pissed me off, because it happend before xmas as well, and because i cant seem to trust my flatmates. Ive put an angry note on the fridge saying i want it replaced.

but yeah would this annoy you?

Queen Crabbit 19-01-2008 03:09 PM

If it's happened before, don't keep it in the fridge...

Stellata 19-01-2008 03:10 PM

My flatmate drank some of my orange juice I'd bought to take for lunch at work the other week. That annoyed me, and that's fairly small, so I can understand how that would be very annoying - especially as it cost so much too. It can hurt when people break trust and take advantage like that. It sounds like it's time to really confront your flatmates about this.

Bleeding Angel 19-01-2008 03:27 PM

im going to keep it in my room from now on, just i like it cold and not room warm lol.

And also because my flatmate said sorry and replaced it, i thought he wouldnt do it again.

im going to talk to him later.

Queen Crabbit 19-01-2008 03:32 PM

If you like to drink it cold just keep the supplies in your room and put a bottle/couple of cans in the fridge for a few hours before you plan to drink them.
Much less chance of stuff going AWOL.

bobidrawpictures 19-01-2008 03:32 PM

or hang it out the window like the new retro fridge idea (Y)

Jukebox 19-01-2008 03:58 PM

Buy a mini fridge.

Dreaming. 19-01-2008 04:00 PM

Aye, I can relate... in fact, six of the nine of us living in this house actually lock our food cupboards. There's no trust in our house ;)

But, it's really annoying when it's fridge-only stuff. And for some people, talking to them really doesn't do anything! But yep, similar position. Glad that he said he'd replace it, though.

Bleeding Angel 19-01-2008 04:00 PM

we use the windows here to keep stuff cold, they arnt very draught proof, cheeper than a mini-fridge :P

88shelz 19-01-2008 04:15 PM

that sucks bg time.
id die if some one took my alcohol

Voldemort 19-01-2008 04:22 PM

Ice, ice and more ice. =]

Though, I don't really have that problem in my kitchen. 8 of us and nothing has ever gone walk-abouts. SCORE.

Bleeding Angel 19-01-2008 04:43 PM

i spoke to one of my flatmate, he said that he heard the irish dude and his friend in there at 3am, and then the sound of my alcohol being took from the fridge.

im telling him to replace otherwise im going to the office here and complaning, i dont want to do that though, i hate the woman in the office, but its really pissed me off

x-dying-inside-x 19-01-2008 04:59 PM

buy a mini fridge thats your best choice.
i dont see why people are arse's like that.

bobidrawpictures 19-01-2008 05:02 PM

hanging the booze outside your window like i said before is the best option unless you are on the ground floor :p

Fallen_Half_Angel 19-01-2008 05:32 PM

we have this problem with milk!! its like gold dust in our flat very very annoying

Lady Lazarus 19-01-2008 05:45 PM

What a pain, people can be so selfish. If your flatmates don't respond to you talking to them about it, then next time they come back with booze take theirs explaining that they owe you some and point out how annoying it is. THAT'LL LEARN EM!

Heidi Tiger 19-01-2008 05:53 PM

My flatmates are like this with my food and drink too! It pisses me off, especially when they steal my rye bread 'cos I can't eat normal bread and then I don't have enough for my sandwiches for the week!
Hope you get it sorted!

We've had washing up issues with one of our flatmates, it got so bad we left all his washing up in his bed. Surprisingly that wasn't enough to make him do it, so we chained his bike wheels together and held the key hostage until he did it!

Dicky T 19-01-2008 06:44 PM

Give it to me?

Dicky!

Popple 19-01-2008 07:03 PM

Mini Fridgeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just a girl, Interrupted. 19-01-2008 09:44 PM

erm yea. I go nuts at my flatmate taking my pasta. And im sure one of my ready meals went missing this week.
I get annoyed with him dead easy though

I keep all my booze in my room/under my bed coos my room is almost always freezing anyways -/
