don't want to be grown up

I don't want to be grown up. I want to be taken care of. I don't feel like i can i can do it on my own, i feel so alone.
I just got back to my house at uni after being at my parents home for three weeks for xmas and i just want my mum to hold me and take care of mum.. My mum has never been very understanding, she has never cuddled me and cried with me, but i wish she would.
I just don't want to be an adult and have all this responsibility. I want to be able to behave how i want and be rebellious. I just can't do it.
Does anyone else feel this way?

oh hun, I do. I really do and right now I am close to tears having realised I am not alone in feeling exactly the same. I am sorry I cannot help but thank you for posting that and making me feel less alone in what I am feeling.

I hope things get better for you *hugs* x

Hey, I'm exactly the same. I just throw myself into the work to distract myself. I'm in my third year and I still get homesick (and I don't even like home that much!).
Are you homesick or is it the responsibility?
I find that the smallest tasks at Uni (eating, washing clothes) seem way harder than they do at home! But it could be because of managing a workload as well as living independently, it can be a bit of a culture shock.
Maybe you could go home a couple of weekends a term?

I feel exactly the same way too. I know it's expected of me, but I just cannot feel comfortable with excepting so much responsibility and loosing the innocence and imagination of childhood.

I don't live at uni and I'm still not coping well, so I think you're brave and doing really well to manage it at all.
