Woo! Message from mods! Enthusiasm! Excitement!
 

Hello RYL Members :)

This is just a quick message from myself, on behalf of all the moderators, about RYL.

Sometimes around the website, you might see comments that are insulting, offensive, or just generally break the rules of posting. Or even, an argument occurring amongst members.

It is really important that if you see something that breaks the rules of posting, please, super please alert a moderator!

You can do so by using the button that says "Report" at the bottom of the postbit [to the left]. When clicked, this button sends an alert to the moderators along with a link to the post.

Please don't assume another member will report it - if something makes you uncomfortable or upset, send us a post report! Also please remember that you can ignore threads.

By alerting problems to the moderators you will help keep the forums a safe and comfortable place to be posting.

Could all members please try and abide by the rules of posting within all forums, chat, Private Messages and Journal entries here at RYL.

And for those of you that don't know the rules...

Just to add a bit to Aimee's post (which is excellent) if you see a post that doesn't technically break the rules, but you still think that people are being mean, rude, inappropriate, mocking, etc, you can still report it. The mods are not going to get upset if you report a thread that is questionable, but doesn't technically break the rules.

Just to add a bit to Aidey's post (which is also excellent), in that being mean, rude, inappropriate, mocking and rude sarcasm are actually against the rules of posting too. They are also quite common in General Chat lately so please help us, help you *grins*

And yes, the Moderators would much rather a questionable post report than simply letting a rule-breaking post slip by while possibly offending others.

Dont forget that the 'alert mod' button is anonymous & only the mods will know if you have used it, so there will be no repurcussions on any member who uses it.

If you point out enough bad juju posts, the red mods may even send you candy...








of course, we give candy to everyone in chat :)
