Has anyone else noticed that some posts and signatures are going all glitchy? It looks like it's mainly doing it with apostrophes. I'm on mobile using Safari.

Yeah, I've noticed it with some posts too. Same with the apostrophes but not all of them. I'm on a MacBook, Safari too.

I thought it was just me. I am on an Android mobile phone. I usually come here on the Samsung browser. I tried using the Google Chrome browser but it made no difference. So it doesn't appear to be a browser issue. I usually get peoples posts containing tm and the euro symbol.

Hmm, I wonder what is occurring. Maybe it's just cos the site is a bit ancient.

Usually everything is because the site is ancient! What will happen next...

I only got it in one specific person’s RV posts, so I wondered if they had just had a mishap on a device that didn’t know apostrophes. Is it more widespread then?

The Official RYL response is of course the standard: RYL is old and glitchy, but look how it’s survived longer than people predicted!!

Yes for me it's showing up in a post in serious discussion and an user's signature. Also Jenna for me your mention of caffe nero is weird in the thread in gsa. At first I thought it was a typo in serious as the person concerned has been known to make typos. But it is happening a little bit far too often to me a simple case of typo.

Sorry i cant name specific members that it's happening to because last time i mentioned an member i got infaction points and I don't want that to happen again.

I got it in mine but only if i wrote on a word documemt and pasted it into my R/V

Discussing moderator action is also against the rules but I don’t know where we stand on moderator action that never happened :P

At some point we might have to decipher codes instead of words. *sticky tapes RYL* keep going old friend.

I've not had any of these sort of issues myself. But I also only use RYL on a laptop, never mobile device.

That said, Helen, I did just check on your RV and there's something weird happening what what I am assuming are apostrophes, but only in some of your posts. It does make me think it's to do with copy/paste or similar when symbols are used instead of letters.

eta: I just saw it in another thread from a different user too - same thing with apostrophes. I'm thinking it's less of an RYL thing and more of just a copy/paste issue?

I've given up on copy and pasting now haha

I've had similar happen to me if I try to copy and paste to tumblr - so it must just be formatting related?

I have had this problem with an r/v that the pound sign is turning into a question mark. Is it happening to anyone else?
