YOU ARE AWESOME
Hallo!
I'd like to say-well done-to anyone who's spent any time, hugging & replying to threads on 'Serious Discussion' I've seen alot of very detailed, helpful & supportive replies. It's nice to see someone put their oar in simply by saying 'Stay strong' etc. I think everyone's doing a really great job re-creating the community feeling on v3. This place is warm and fuzzy now 'cause of it. Well done peoples' for being able to help someone out-despite al the frenzied confusion of v3. |
well said mate!

You too Robyn!
I did notice there were so many lovely supportive replies. The community is baaaaaack =) |
I don't go in serious all that much, but i've seen alot of support and such in ED. Although, i don't think it really left there anyway.
Anywho, it's good :) Ali xox |
Good work people :] xxx

Isn't it odd that the adventure of moving, and the changes to the site have made SUCH a difference to the stability and happiness of the community. I know these last couple of days have been hard for a lot of people, but still the Mods have had to do no real modding, everything is calm and friendly - and I am starting to see how RYL is going to be a much better place once everything has settled in :)
If you are reading this is don't yet know what Hugs are, take a look here. They really are a great form of communication and are a sign that you have read a thread and care. They are so quick and simple to do, and while replies are of course always better, if you don't know of the right thing to say - do whatever you so Hug the thread. With a bundle of hugs and a few solid replies from those members who do have something to say - everyone is going to feel supported and helped. Thank you and well done to all of you so far who are really making this place feel like home, in just such a short space of time already :) Harley |
aww i love your wee threads like this - :)
|
nice, but I'm really bad at giving advice, so I try to stay away from serious because I feel mean not replying when I can't think of anything useful to say. Sometimes *hugs* seems a bit feeble and repetitive.
But nice thought |
Why thank you.:sonywink:

I think everyone is well aware that, because of everyones own stability and moods that not every view to a thread is someone in a state of mind where they can reply properly.
This was why Hugs were created, and I really don't think we want to start off with the feeling they are 'cheap' or worthless. They are the tags of all the people who care, but just can't find the words to say it. Those people who read a thread, leave and don't hug are those who are ignoring that person and not doing anything for them. We need not be at all ashamed if we don't feel up to answering someones difficult plea for advice - but until those who can come along, a hug is a great deal better than nothing and leaving without a hug. =] bless your heart.
|
thanks Harley, =]
but i didnt mean the hugs were tacky, i just meant that replying with *hugs* sometimes seems like im a bit useless when everyone else has written great helpful speeches that i could never live up to >.> |
If i reply to threads in serious, its not because i feel i have to, as part if my RYL duties, i do it because i feel i can, and i feel i have something constructive to say.
i neither want nor deserve a well done. edit:this sounds bitchier than i meant it to. i dont mean it personally Robyn. |
