Depression from medication withdrawal?

Hello,

I'm wondering if it's possible a medication I was on 3 years and 8-9 months and have been off for six months could be producing depression as a withdrawal effect? Or perhaps, my healthier eating is undoing some of its (flupenthixol) lingering antidepressant effect and causing depression that way? I ask because I've heard it can take 6-24 months for emotions to return to normal after some psychiatric medications and I feel this is at least part of the cause for my emotional pain.

Depression is uncommon / rare for me in general and I still can't feel the full range of emotions after being off this drug for just over 6 months.

Thanks in advance,

Andy 🙏

I think it is probably possible. Can you speak to whomever was prescribing it to find out? It can definitely take a while for things to sort of recalibrate.

Perhaps speak to your shrink or prescribing doctor.
