RYL Forums - 9 years baby!

Another year has passed and I have achieved some things. Not only that but I am another year free of SI (making it 9 years free!)

1. Last year I had another change of cpn. Fortunately I seem to have her permanently as I have had mine nearly a year now. I am more than happy with the care she is giving me so hopefully I will have her for another year. I still continue only to see my cpn once every 3 weeks

2. I haven't abused alcohol for a year. In fact I have bought non alcoholic lager so that I can have a lager without the alcohol. Vodka is my downfall so when the bottle ran out I didn't buy any more.

3. Until lockdown began I went swimming most weeks. I didn't go during half term. Hopefully when the pool reopens I will be able to go again

4. Again before lockdown I met for coffee with my friend most weeks. This was important because I struggle to get out of the flat otherwise.

5. I didn't end up IP last year.

6. I have bed and I haven't binged once last year. I think I now fit the criteria for OSFED rather than bed though but of course that depends on the psych.

7. I am considered stable mh wise so much so that I have only seen a psych once a year for the past 5 years as I haven't been in crisis.

On a slightly less personal note but been as I mentioned it last year my cousin qualified as a paramedic in March this year.

The only downside is that I have still yet to do anything regarding learning Italian. Due to circumstances beyond my control I am no longer secretary for a sports day for people with disabilities so it's not going ahead ever again but when I did it I managed the workload fine. Tbh I miss doing it.

Please note that I am not going to update this post as often as previous years unless things go drastically wrong (which hopefully it wont) so if you dont see any updates please assume that I am still free.

So that's it! I feel as though SI is part of my past and that's something that I will never do again. As I have said previously once I get to 10 years free I will post on Facebook (the majority of people on there don't know that I SI ). Here's to another year!
