My godson
He's 7 months old and he had minor surgery last month. He's developed an infection (not at the operation site) and been unwell and on antibiotics but hasnt improved. On Saturday his mum rang me up and was really upset, cos she thought he needed to be seen by a doctor but family had told her not to worry so much. I said she should get him checked - to make herself feel better, if nothing else (her first son died at ten months so we're all a little nervous).
I got a text today saying they were on their way back to the children's hospital because he wasnt any better and they wanted to see him up there. It can't be good if he can't be sorted at the city hospital, and has to go to Birmingham. Keep your fingers crossed for him :notsure: |

He's got a blood clot. He's safe as long as it doesn't grow or move. At least his mum knows what the problem is and can keep an eye on him.
Not gonna post anymore for now, feeling kinda crappy |

Keeping my fingers crossed that everything will be ok.
Am I mistaken in reading that they've taken him to B'ham children hospital? If so, they're fantastic. I had sugery on my skull with them so yeah I know from personal exprience that they're great :) |
*hugs*
I hope all goes well. Are they going to have to remove the clot? If he does end up going to b'ham hospital they are supposed to be quite good there they have a great childrens unit. I hope he soon gets better. We are all here for you when you feel like talking again xx |
