Encouragement
 

Ok so i really need some encouragement and advice! Im really struggling with everything in my life right now. My parents have been divorced for a long time so i go back and forth and i just feel like no matter where im at no one cares about how i feel and everyone just wants to yell at me and tell me what im doing wrong.. I want to get out of both houses but i cant because im not quit 18 yet. So does anyone have any ideas on what i can do to make me feel better? My parents also have taken my phone away for about 6 months now so i have no way to talk to anyone else. Im doing this from my school laptop that they gave us. So please if you have advice please share!

Is there any way you can talk to your parents or have someone talk to them on your behalf? Maybe they don’t realise how you are feeling.

That seems quite unfair of your parents to take your phone away, although I obviously don't know their reasons. It's good that you are at least able to get online to reach out for support. Do you have a guidance teacher at school? I found my guidance teacher to be a good support and he was able to arrange for me to have additional support from therapists when I needed it. I also think it would be good to make your parents aware of how you're feeling somehow. Good luck with everything.

It's hard to change other people, maybe nearly impossible. Can you think of any steps you can take to learn to cope with things better if your parents aren't going to change the way they treat you?
