psychotic depression

I've just spent three weeks in hospital, where I was diagnosed with psychotic depression, but I don't think I had any psychosis? According to a few websites I looked it up on, a really low sense of self-worth can count as psychosis?

I've heard of psychotic depression where the psychosis was delusions relating to self-worth. Are you receiving any follow-up care after the hospital stay? Perhaps you could discuss the diagnosis with your team and ask them how they reached that conclusion.

I have a social worker coming out to see me tomorrow, but he wasn't involved in the diagnosis, although I guess it can't hurt to ask.

Yeah, he might still be able to talk through your symptoms, and could also tell you who to speak to further about it. I hope it goes well with your social worker :)
