Can Prozac suddenly stop working?
 

I'm on 40mg fluoxetine and 800mg lithium. Initially when I first started the fluoxetine I was very giddy, anxious and energetic. This settled down after a while and I've been doing really well- feeling like a positive person.

But over the past week I have been going downhill, and yesterday/today feeling awful. Nervous, low, sensitive and just pretty awful.

I am seeing my new psychiatrist on Tuesday, but the last time I saw him was when the fluoxetine was making me giddy and I'm scared to say how I feel in case he thinks I'm making it up or being daft.

I've been having a lot of suicidal thoughts and urges.

Fwiw I'm 28 married with two young children.

Yea I had a similar experience on prozac
I think it would be good to be honest with your team about it x
