Just a rant
 

So there's a fiasco with my son's anxiety meds. Sent the script from the psych to his pediatrician. Pediatrician sent the new script to the pharmacy. Pharmacy was out of stock and couldn't get his meds in for 4 days. Had just enough to get us by for 4 days. They were suppose to key in the new insurance information but after trip #1 to the pharmacy today I found out they lost the copy they made. I of course didn't have it because I was told I wouldn't need it. For trip #2 I brought the insurance card. As I'm staring at my sons meds they tell me that apparently there was an issue keying in his insurance the other day (it's now been 5 days and nobody has told us anything) and I need to call his pediatrician, to call insurance, to get prior approval.

Really?? He's already going through pretty bad withdrawals from the week it took to get in to the psych in the first place. What am I suppose to do now?? Ugh.

Omg, I am so sorry to hear that. Withdrawals can be really nasty so I hope you/he can get those medications soon. I can't believe that they didn't tell you there was an insurance issue because they would/should have known long before. I'm really hoping that you, or should I say the system, manage to get this sorted out ASAP. Sending *safe hugs* and my best wishes both for you and your son and really hoping that it gets sorted quickly so that your son can be free of the withdrawals.
