Crying

I cant stop crying. Over everything. From needing the toilet to having an itchy foot to a happy song video I like to genuine sad things. I cry in public on my own I wake up crying. I dont know what the hells going on. Im sad or anything. I feel a bit lost and lonely but mostly excited for the next few months. How can I stop?

Do you need to stop? I know it can be shocking and distressing but crying is natural and actually quite healthy. I think if you let it out you'll feel better when it slows down. Hugs. Sorry if I've misunderstood.

Thanks for the hugs. An dyes I do need to sto. I a 100% can not cry at work. And Im beginning to find the incessant nature really distressing.

Ok. Would distraction help? Like doing something slightly practical and unemotional? For example colouring in, chatting to someone about something else? There are other things I could suggest but if things are feeling fragile then watching a film or having a bath might not be great. Do you have a diagnosis of depression, and if so could this relate to it?

chinahorse 21-06-2015 08:10 PM

No I dont feel fragile at all I feel mostly ok. And I cry no matter what Im doing. Currently watching a film and repainting my nails and boom sobbing. I did. I do. I dunno. I doubt all diagnoses because they seem to have misdiagnosed and mistreated me for several years with bpd which I dont have though I nearly do I dont so the treatment is useless. Sorry rant.

It can be really confusing to find yourself crying at anything and everything, it's not as if you can pinpoint an obvious trigger. I've found myself in a similar plae recently, sometimes I can understand why I'm crying ie I don't like my job, but last night I cried because I struggled to get my duvet back in the bedding.

Has your medication been altered recently? Is crying more of a problem at a certain time of day/month?

chinahorse 21-06-2015 11:21 PM

Im so sorry you can relate.

I stopped my ad about a month ago and started a new antipsychotic. Only noticed it over the past few weeks. More when Im tired than not but other than that during the day as by night I seem to be all cried out.

Intaytia 23-06-2015 10:05 PM

Do you think the cry could be a side effect of the antipsychotic? Because if it's been happening for a few weeks and you stopped the other one about a month ago, the antipsychotic should be settled in your system by now.

I dont know. Its not listed I dont think. I shall consult dr google as moving 1 step to the pil box is too much :P

chinahorse 23-06-2015 10:11 PM

Not sure I believe dr google. They think its only gor women 40-49 who have had depokote and depression.

I don't know if this will be helpful and I'm not sure if I'm repeating what other people have said, but when I found myself crying constantly, which got totally exasperating, my psychologist suggested setting aside a certain amount of time each day in which I was 'allowed' to cry. The theory was that it would relieve the pressure of feeling like I shouldn't cry which conversely was causing the constant crying so the relentless crying would ease. I did try it and felt it worked to an extent, but it wasn't overly successful. However, it may be for other people. I'm not sure if I've made much/any sense but it's just a suggestion.

chinahorse 25-06-2015 10:54 PM

You have made sense yes :)

its been suggested to me. I may try it. cant harm can it

Intaytia 27-06-2015 08:03 PM

How is the allocated time for crying going?

chinahorse 27-06-2015 08:58 PM

It is helpig a little bit.

I would talk to your doctor in case there is a medical cause or a rare medication side effect.
