20 mg of olanzapine

Anyone been on this dose?
Did you gain a lot of weight?
Were you sedated?

I'm currently on 15mg

I took 20mg sometimes. I was on 15mg long-term, but in times of high stress, I would take 20mg for a few weeks (recommended by doctor) to help me stay normal. I found it was sedating, but I didn't put any extra weight on than I had already put on with the 15mg.

I've been on 20mg olanzapine for most of 4 years. I put on weight but I've lost some of it recently through various strict lifestyle changes. I was a bit sedated initially but now I sleep normally (despite being on olanzapine, gabapentin and mirtazapine). But I've been an insomniac since I was born (even as a baby I only slept 5 hours a day) so maybe I'm in anomaly.

Remember that everyone's different in their CYP enzymes etc.

Thanks I've been on 20mg for 3 days now and feel fine.
