What's a zombie thread and why do so many threads seem to being closed resently?

Really old thread.

A zombie thread is one that has been resurrected from the distant past! So if I made a post asking for advice in 2010 chances are by 2014 it's been sorted!

If it gets bumped up people will give me advice and support which is lovely but isn't needed and as a result we lock them! Every so often we get spurts of zombie threads being bumped!

Zombie threads can sometimes be kinda awkward though!

Like on v2 when I was a moderator a post of mine from a few years previously was bumped and it was a thread that broke all sorts of rules because the rules had changed in the years since it was posted! It made me look really bad as a member of staff.

This is like the one time google calendar might actually be bloody useful! Unfortunately I was too busy grumbling "nowt wrong with a paper diary" throughout the training to pay any attention, otherwise I would do this.

Wonder how many of us will still be hanging around here in three years!

I have been on ryl longer than ten yrs now. 3 years is insignificant lol. I will try and remember to bump it lol

The title of this thread promised ample hunting opportunities or at the vary least the chance to talk about our fave zombie films and games, I've been duped :sad:

A thread that needs brains to continue it's life. As there are not many free brains here, we have to get the mods to make sure that it has been properly killed, and the caranium destroyed, so that it won't bother us again.

I have been here 11 years because I had to change to a new account in 2004 due to being found out. My original account was created in 2003.

Been here since 2003 too! Though my join date says 2004 but that was probably the first version of Recover and not Ruin.

I remember you as control freak sherlock holmes! I didn't realise that was you until recently.

Didn't know that till right now! I remember you too, I joined in 2003 also, I was One Song Glory back then.
