Chat Problem Thread Suggestion?
 

The most common thing I see people asking about in this forum is chat stuff. Perhaps we can make a chat problem thread for people to put any problems with chat into and get feedback and well as have a FAQ. For example:

Q: It keeps saying authentication failed. Why?
A: It might be that you have invalid characters such as an asterisk (*), this, that, etc. in your name or blah, blah, blah.

I think it might really help the members as well as help people not have to repeat their answer over and over.

Oh yeah, this would be a good idea!

I think a thread like this already exists though.

But it would be good to have a "my chat is broken" thread instead of the bazillion new ones that keep getting made!

Yea, I had just gotten on and came to the Question forum cause I like to help out members every now and then and saw like three chat complaints in a row and I was like, "Yea, this needs to be a thing." xD

Well, some people dunno to go to that thread. Perhaps a redux of the thread with a title that clearly states "all chat problems should be looked into here". xD

That thread is stickied, and people never seem to read stickies (ironically!).

Literally every other thread in here is related to chat. :P

I read them sometimes if I feel they have valuable information I'm seeking based on the title. xD The title is very important I've observed from my years on forums.

maybe because there is a huge issue that nobody wants to fix... how about that for support...

No, it's almost always because their usernames have punctuation - or a temporary problem like chat going offline for an hour.
