If you PM a first aid advisor with details they should be able to help.

I'm confused as to why you feel that you can't tell us on the boards what is in your wound, are you worried it would be tip sharing?

it was glass but i wasnt sure if i was allowed to say what i used
the wounds are mostly superficial shouldnt scar to badly im just worried there might be some splintered bits stuck inside

Aidee 06-06-2007 02:03 AM

You can say what you used, but you can't say things like " I used X because it cuts better".

Depending on the type of glass used, and how it was broken it is possible to have splinters in the cut. It's normal for wounds to look red for the first 24-48 hours, after that the redness and swelling should go down. If it doesn't, then there is a chance that something is in the cut irritating it, or that you are developing an infection.

it was a broken beer bottle and it happened monday morning most of the redness is gone now so i dont think its anything to worry about.but i wanted to check
thanks

Glad to hear it's improving, and yea, i was slightly confused at first about tip sharing, but like AD said, you can say what you used for help purposes, but you can't say:

"I used the sunflower instead of the marigold as it gives a better smell, also do it on your nose instead of your forehead as it's great for hiding"

Haha, sorry for the lame explanation, just kinda thought it was a bit funny :)
