Take a warm bath, and just relax.

raistlin 04-06-2007 07:28 PM

Relax now, you're home.
As for tomorrow, it will probably be another painful day. But mind, over matter. Are your shoes comfortable to wear? Maybe you want to purchase a pair of the insole insert things? Those really help. And I don't know if you are or not, but don't stand with your legs locked for long periods of time. It's much better to stand with your knees bent a bit.
But yeah, relax now. :)

Ahh. I feel for you! I wore silly shoes to work a few weeks ago and it KILLED! I have to stand, with only about 10 minutes of sitting down, for lunch for 8 hours. Kills!

I remember when I started working in kitchens, my body ached so much from all the activity, but I got used to it pretty quickly.

Kirsty, you'll get used to it.
I had trouble with that when I first started working at my work and working 6 hours at a time, but now, every second week I work 6 hours a day, if not slightly more and my feet don't hurt at all, well except from yesterday but we were really busy.
I'd advise you to get a pair of really comfy shoes, such as trainers which have a lot of padding in them. Make sure you get your breaks when you are meant to and get to sit down during them. When you come home from work, have a long bath and make sure its warm water. It usually helps.

Oh I feel your pain. I work 8+ hours a day on my feet for silly hungry people. I've learned that any chance to sit, take it! Sometimes I'll just stand on one leg while another is resting.

Hope you feel better.

I dont really have a bath just now, and there isnt a bath in the flat =/ Im gonna try and steal my mums foot spa cos I dont think she ever uses it

trainers are banned, but yea, my shoes arent great, im just going for multiple pairs of socks just now

and yea, I'll be ok, my laptop is being gay and really not working, so I'm gonna get a spare power cable for it and see how long it'll run on 0% battery for...

and I keep shouting at Andrew because I feel crap

Tomorrow marks one month free though

breaks come when breaks come it seems, and managers are a bit rubbish
