Glass Doll(Poem)
 

Her porcelain figure rests against the comfort of her bed.
Her red lips glisten in the moonlight shining into the dark room.
Silky soft hair flowing in the air from a far away draft.
She sits after being used and abused, misplaced as tears of wax fall down her face.
No one will ever guess her pains and sorrows that hide beneath those cold unmoving eyes.

Her soul is empty and her heart beats no more.
Beauty and pride dwindles to nothing and very voice remains quiet.
She is beautiful but will never know how much so.
As she walks her life is held up by egg shells even more fragile than her.
She rests on her pillow the wax tears multiplying down her pastly cheeks
No one notices

She is carried along her once silky hair all tangled and knotted.
Her red lips are now as pale as her skin.
The moonlight no longer shines on her in her favorite corner.*
She has been forgotten here, all alone in her new place of dwelling.
She hopes no one will see her now.

One day without warning she falls.
She shatters into a thousand pieces on the floor.
No longer will someone be forced to look at her dismantledness.
Free from pain and from all the troubles she once had.
When they pick up the pieces, there is no sign of tears, but a smile of peace at last.
No more will she have to suffer such pains.
