I know I haven't been around here much in a while, and I hate to come back bearing bad news. I have cleared this post with Cam.

Unfortunately, Amy died yesterday having committed suicide. Anyone who knew her will know that she attempted to end her life on many occasions, and struggled immensely with her mental health. To many of her close friends, this news, while a shock, is no great surprise. For a long time, she was very consumed by wanting to die, so she is now finally at the peace she's always deserved.

Amy was one of the most wonderful people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. We were there for each other through some truly happy times, and some very dark, bad times. She was a bridesmaid at my wedding, which was such a beautifully happy day, and it was an honour to have her at my side. While often things were hard trying to support her through the darker times and hospital admissions, she still bought a huge amount of light and joy into my life. I'm going to miss her greatly.

I didn't know Amy well but I did know her and she was lovely.

I know how much she struggled but it doesn't make it any easier.

Myimmortalgirl, I'm so sorry to have to break news this way. She was once an active member of this community, so I thought people had a right to know. I'm so sorry for your loss if you were close to her. It's extremely heartbreaking for all of us. I hope you have people around you to support you during this difficult time.

At one point me and Ami were going to get married. I love her very deeply and this is a massive loss that words can't even begin to describe. She's finally at peace with her demons. She was and always will be my Angel.
