Question

Hi, I suffer with depression (I'm basically gauging if my having depression could explain the homicidal thoughts or if the homicidal thoughts are cause of something else). During the past few months it has not become uncommon for me to have homicidal thoughts. Does anyone else get these or am I just completely f'd up?

Got no real advice to offer, just that you are not alone in this.
I get frequent homicidal thoughts and have done for years.

If it is killing someone else is it someone in particular or just anyone?

Either way I think you should talk to someone professional, maybe head down to the hospital.

It is indeed killing someone else, no one in particular just anybody and it doesn't matter what mood i'm in. If I went to the hospital every time I got a homicidal thought I'd be living there, so I think I'll pass.

Hi,
I also suffer from depression and sometimes have homicidal thoughts (though I haven't actually told anyone else). What I try to do when I have these thoughts is I try to ground myself by focusing on something really plain, but that needs your attention. I generally try to do a crossword or wordsearch or something to ground myself and then once I'm in a stable frame of mind, I write things down, why I want to hurt other people, the pros and the cons. That usually helps me, I hope it helps you

I've never had homicidal thoughts so I'm no expert, but I'd say that homicidal thoughts are pretty much acceptable until you feel you'd act upon them. Although obviously help for depression / these thoughts is also an idea :)
