Discos?
I'm going on a university summer school with the open university to an actual university it's only three days but I think it will feel longer! I'll be experiencing the student life for two days! Now I missed out the part of my adolescence when I went out and drank socially etc I've not been to disco since the ones I had at primary school..what are they like? And what do you do? I know you're expected to dance but I'm not even sure about that  I'm an awkward person! I just want to know what they're like and how you're expected to behave :eyeroll: just any advice would be appreciated also is there any strobe lighting at these things? Random thread but thought someone on here could give advice. I'm not sure if I'm going to it yet but I'd like to go in with some idea of what to expect. thanks in advance!

Have they specifically told you there is going to be a disco, or is it that you assume that students party all the time?
Because unless they have specifically organised one I highly doubt there will be one. Certainly as uni students I don't think they would use the word "disco". There might be parties, with music, or students might go out clubbing. The most usual form of socialising at uni would be at the uni bar, or pub, and would not involve dancing. It might involve drinking, but you needn't have alcohol unless you choose to, and it would involve chatting to other people. I don't think you need to worry in advance about how to behave, just be relaxed and see what other people are doing, and only join in with anything you feel absolutely comfortable with. But I still suspect that in only 3 days that you'll be there it may not be as exciting as you imagine! |
Enjoy all the discotecas!
