Font that can help people with dyslexia

I discovered a downloadable font that's been designed specifically to help people with dyslexia to read better. I thought it was kind of interesting and thought I'd share it since I think a lot of members here struggle with dyslexia, and who knows, maybe it'll help someone. It's called dyslexie. What do you guys think?

It looks awful, but then, I have a VI not dyslexia

I have dyspraxia and do sometimes have trouble with fonts if it's small writing. That font looks horrible, I don't think it would help me at all.
The thing that does help is my purple glasses as they mean that there is less contrast between the font and the page. You can get overlays as well I think to see which colour suits you best.

I never knew dyspraxia could also affect reading/writing, mine doesn't at all! Learn something new everyday :)

Yep. It tends to effect motor control and how you process information. This apparently includes deciphering text on a page.

I love how I've been diagnosed with it since I was like 15 and have never before googled or even particularly thought much about it, have now done so and the stuff Wiki tells me explains so much stuff I just thought I was thick at ;-p I think I've just always focused more on my discalculia as that has tended to affect my life more.

there is a lot of cross over between dyspraxia and dyslexia, which is why many people are diagnosed with both (like me).

I think I prefer my green overlay to that font.

That actually looks awful, couldn't see it helping me.

I don't even remember when I got diagnosed, I think it was when I failed the 11 plus, just so that I could actually get into the school I appied for. Haha.
Fair enough, I guess it's natural to pay most attention to the thing that is causing you the most difficulty and stuffs...

Definitely! Also with lot of other learning kinda things too (such as autistic spectrum disoders).
My dad has both too, my bro got the dyslexia and I got the dyspraxia. Haha.

Yes! That is definitely a good idea! Invent it and make millions.
