No Love Slam Poem (Video)
http://youtu.be/4lE8Kzzvqyo
There was a time and a place Where things were normal But what is normal in this kind centaury? Where mothers seem to be in maternal And although you blamed yourself You had nothing to say But you slag off the one daughter you had One but a lonely bouquet, You expected her to love you? When did you ever say you loved her? She had her independence From too young an age monsieur And you say you couldn’t cope? What about her and the world coming And she’s silently suffering A depressed child craves nothing But a sense of worth Feel liked or even loved. All they want is to make their parent proud Why should that be shoved? You were there for your child in darkest nights Where hell took over but I disagree You blame your child for being alive? For being the person she grew up to be? Guess what – you made her You had your chance ‘carve’ her wits To teach her right from wrong How to communicate, to make relationships But you couldn’t do this yourself. So what was there to expect for free That your child was not who You initially thought they would be – If you thought about this at all! She chooses to stop contact with you And I guess you blame her For all the past mistakes and the decisions you made. But you were her maternal chauffeur But you couldn’t cope, you didn’t care So don’t expect your child to say I love you To ever have depended on you What did she gain from you Apart from the lack of confidence That she was useless, worthless. She has nothing left to say to you But to prove she has a sense of purpose. |
