Diagnosed bipolar

okay, ive had mental health problems for around 10 years now and have just been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, but i havent been given any information on it, my meds are changing and neither is my "plan of care" as they call it but surely i should of had some more infomation on this given to me?? i dont like relying on internet sources as they might not be legit.

Anyone got any reliable sources regarding this? many many thanks in advance :)

Hi. Here are some sites that are reputable and that I have found helpful.

Reachout

Aware

And this is the page I was given by the doctor who diagnosed me:

Royal College of Psychiatrists

Maybe ask a member of your team next time you see them as they may have locally produced information. My hospital has a "pack" for newly diagnosed bipolar patients with info on the illness, contact details, lithium book etc.

Rethink is another good resource.

As is Mind.

I hope those help.

Bipolar is a label given by quack doctors to make you think you have an illness and drug someone for profit. People are allowed to have emotions without it being seen as a disease.
