Anyone else a bit obsessed with Big Bang theory

I think its the only time we all sit down as a family when we watch the bbt.

I love that the actress that plays amy actually has a phd!!

Bbt never fails to make me laugh!

Eh, honestly I used to like the show but I now feel more uncomfortable watching it than anything else. I really don't think it deserves the praise it receives but hey, personal opinions and all. This (http://bit.ly/Qbxvc5) blog post sums up, much more eloquently than I can, why I don't like it. Warning very long blog post ahead that you definitely don't have to read.

In the few times I've watched the show I've felt it was laughing at "geeks" rather than with them, I've also felt that the comedy was rather slapstick and a little cringeworthy which I didn't enjoy.

However, if someone finds a program entertaining, and it's bringing people together then that's very positive. Any programs that people can laugh at and come together with people to collectively enjoy are surely worth watching :)

Seems like many of the 'guys" on shows these days are twits playing snarky little characters. I haven't watched a TV show in years. First season of Game of Thrones was the last and I thought that was overrated

^I've noticed that a lot of guys are playing the sarcastic snarky role, but they seem too obvious with the sarcasm to make it funny, I find more subtle sarcasm to be humorous, that may be just me though.

I'm a huge BBT fan, but for me a big part of it was lost when Leonard and Penny finally got together. Read the blog post, and while I agree with some of it, much I disagree with. I guess it depends of your personal viewpoint. I for instance relate very closely to Amy, and the points made in the blog about laughing at her conceptions, and being supposed to find them funny, being offensive I disagree with. I laugh at them (and many the audience don't laugh at) purely because I can relate them to various stages in my life where I have said/done different things.

I also thought it was very enlightening in the episode when Penny was dating Zac and the boys realise that they are actually bullying him. That geeks and nerds can also be bullies is something that is all too often swept under the table.

Love, love, love the show!

Got pretty much all of them on DVD apart from the last season I think.
