Mood privacy? Are there options?
 

Hi I have a friend on RYL who I'm personally connected with, although I'd like to change my mood and display to others I'm afraid my friend who is currently going through a difficult time with a bereavement may find my current positive mood difficult to understand/cope with, is there a way to set mood privacy & if not is there a possibility this could be included in the future?

1. No there isn't as far as I am aware.
2. Wishing hard.

Won't they see this, which would defeat the privacy purpose?

If it's that big a deal you could just not have a mood status for a while?

That's what I was thinking... if it has to be private, why does it have to be posted on an RYL account? I didn't even know people looked at those things and I've never ever taken them as an accurate representation of someone's mood. Mostly because people set them and forget them a lot of the time.

Moods are available to see without signing in or creating an account, as are most posts. This is something that's unlikely to change; it was discussed about making some/all the boards private a while ago, and because members lurk before they join, was decided it's more helpful for them to be public.
