some advice please:)
So I have struggled with sh for almost 10yrs now and still do on and off
and my arms and legs have coped the brunt of it... I have a job trial (maths tutoring) tomorrow night with a young boy and would love to just wear long sleeves or that but with the weather being how its been (extremely hot, 30 degree +) thats not going to be a likely option... so was thinking of just covering my scarred arm with tubi grip. but I have a qst... how do I answer if I am asked why I am wearing the bandage? I am a quite honest person and generally open and honest about my past struggles with sh but one thing I am fast learning is that when trying to get a job, NO ONE wants to employ someone with a damaged/ cut up body. so was thinking if I had another 'possible' reason for why I was wearing the bandage then that may go down better with the boy and his parents... any ideas? anyone? thanks in advanced! lozza |
Hey,
Maybe you could say that you strained a muscle in your arm? I did that once and needed one of those bandages on for it for a little while. If you ever need help/support I'm just a PM away :) x |
I agree with the above; saying you've sprained the muscle between you elbow and wrist is usually enough to reason wearing a tubi grip. Or you fell over and landed on your are strange and it's just for support is another one I've used - works better on wrisits which is where most of mine were at the time.

When I started to totur a girl for English I was wearing a really light shirt, it also was summer. I asked them for an appointment in the evening, because 'I can't think proper when it is too hot'. That way I could tell them that I was feeling cold after a day in the sun.

Yah a sprain always works, or you could say you've got weak joints or its just for added support.
Saying its for added support is especially good cause its not a lie and you can keep wearing the tubi grip. Also you might wanna try wearing vest tops and then sticking over it an open thin shirt or a denim shirt, those looks are really in for the summer :) |
thanks guys!!!!
haha now just need an address for where I am going tonight for the tutoring! I will be so mad if I am not given the trial that was promised to me!!! |
I hope it goes well today. If the boy is quite young, I would just make up an excuse (the cat scratched me) and leave it be. Else, just say oh, I had an accident. Kids generally take it quite well, so I would try not to worry.

I always make excuses. Nobody wants to hear" I cut myself". It's the quickest way to freak people out or become an outcast. I don't recommend it at all. It won't go well. Cover up, hide it where it can't be seen, come up with a plausible story for it. Trust me people never look at u the same again. Even people u think will understand can turn on u & share the gossip. Go on YouTube there's videos on how to cover up & excuses.
