Section 136 & enhanced CRB's/DBS
 

I'm sure this has been written about before but I can't find it. :ermm:

Do section 136's show up on enhanced CRB's? Or the new one, I think it's called DBS? I've never been violent with the police but I have been 136'd a number of times.

I'm applying to work in a nursery so I assume they will ask for an enhanced CRB rather than the standard.

I'm afried it stays on enhanced CRB's and comes up as section 136 non police matter so depending on the number of times you've been placed under police holding powers it'll come up.

i've been placed on 136's multiple times (in one period, i was getting put on them 2-3 times a week for about 4 weeks in 2011)

i had an enhanced CRB before Christmas and nothing showed up! :)
and i work with children with special needs.

so i doubt it will show up.

I don't think** it will, but if it does, it wont affect your CRB in terms of if you're able to work with vulnerable people.

My 136s showed up but that's because I was aggressive / violent.

I litteraly just had an advanced CRB for Uni (I'm doing nursing) and non of my 136s showed up.

I have been under all of none criminal sections at various points and non have showed up in the advanced CRBs.

I was aggresive violent during one of my 136s and it didnt show.

Wicked, thanks everyone! I've never been violent on 136's so hopefully it wont come up.

Just echoing what everyone else said. I've just had one for a voluntary job and none of my sections showed up.

Ok now I have no idea why mine showed up then.

One of mine showed up - and oddly i was one of the ones where i was not violent or aggressive.

I went into citizens advice and they told me that it is down to the force and the person dealing with the check and if they think it is something that the employer will need to know.

From what they told me, there is no real way to know its more hit and miss

It has never showed up on my CRBs and I'm a nursery nurse so I've had a few. I think you'll be fine. Good luck.
