voices and seeing things * adult *

As you know its valentines day tomorrow me and my husband bought each other some thing from a sex toys place we have opened them but yet to try them
My husband has gone down to my mums for a few hours to help her with a few things and will be back and is expecting sex ...I hear voices and am very paranoid the voices seem to make comments about me most of the time
But its worse when am having sex
They say things like am fat but much ruder and swearing
Its really off putting on top of that i see things as well and i some of it is graphic like zombies with there flesh hanging off etc...
so that is also off putting as well
I feel awful not wanting sex when we went and bought all this stuff
am unsure what to do about seeing things and the voices

Hey! Have you talked to your husband about the voices and how they are making you feel? Maybe it may just be helpful to talk it out instead of dealing with this on your own. I'm sorry if I haven't been of much help. Take care :)

I know you feel a little bad not wanting to have sex after buying things, but I think it's important that you not allow yourself to feel pressured. It sounds very stressful if the voices and such are the only reason you feel uncomfortable. I know talking isn't everyone's' thing during sex, but I think communicating about how you're feeling is important. If you think it might help, you could suggest beforehand that he give you some positive verbal support if you're finding it hard to focus, such as compliments that go against what the voices say or just comforting and reassuring words that you're safe and that he's there for you. As for seeing scary things, would it help to maybe view some nice photos videos beforehand? I don't know if this is similar at all but, for instance, I like watching kid shows or a very lighthearted comedy after watching a scary movie to get my mind of of it. Having dim light instead of complete darkness might also help ground you if these images seem more like thoughts than real life.
