having surgery
 

I have to have surgery on my wrist in 2 weeks. When I first found out I had to have surgery I said why not have my brother take me so my parents don't have to take off.....At the tie he didn't have a job. A few days ago I started getting anxious and decided I wanted my mom to take me... I know she'd feel better taking me.... My brother just got a job and informed me that he told his boss he was taking that weekend off even though it's super bowl weekend. Part of me thinks it's awesome that he is taking me but part of me is anxious and wants my mom to take me... Since he already told his boss he was taking off I can't really change my mind on who's taking me.... Any words for helping my anxiety would be helpful....:ermm:

Could they perhaps both come with you? There's nothing wrong with wanting your mum there and it might be nice to have them both there for support :)

I don't know if that would work...My grandfather might be having back surgery so I know my mom needs to save her days off for that. There are times when I am fine with my brother taking me and I think it'll be fun (before hand at least) then for some reason my anxiety kicks in and I want my mom.

Maybe let your brother take you this time and if you ever need a future appt, then maybe your mum can take you?

i know exactly how you feel, i get all anxious a lot and i'm all like i want my mum :/

Thank you for responding... My mom texted me and said she will still come and it can be bonding time for the three of us :)
