Anyone else having to work today?

I just got home from work!

Doing a 7am-4pm shift in a supermarket was pretty intense. We had run out of mince pies by 2pm :-p

I am more excited about having 2 days off work than Christmas itself lol

I got home from work about half an hour ago! Thankfully it was a bit quieter today, it's been absolutely mental this past week though! Damn supermarkets at Christmas.

I don't usually mind as it's normally quiet & relaxing, but this year it was manic & only two out of the five of our team were in. :/
Finally got out at 4.10pm. Phew!

I had today off as I don't work Wednesdays and it's my Bank Hol entitlement, or something.

I was looking forward to the rest, but I'm bored already.

I'll just spend two days eating and watching Christmas tv. And then it's back to work on Thursday for a 7am shift :-P

I was going to say thankfully i had today off as i did not want to have to call people at 8pm on xmas eve about their orders, but i see the spam mob are working hard today on xmas eve.

I worked today and am working tomorrow, Boxing Day and Thursday, 12 hour shifts! I don't mind it really, work has a festive feel to it at Christmas. Then I get several days off so I can't wait until them!!

I was working today too - 10am - 3pm. I work in Debenhams and it was so quiet and the shift dragged. I'm working Boxing Day too. ):

I didn't actually mind working today. Everyone was fairly cheerful and Christmas-y.

As a random aside, people are so much more generous around Christmas! I've been bagpacking the last three days and today raised the highest amount by around £50! In a small town, over six hours, people donated £325! I think that's why working Christmas Eve is okay, because people are less likely to be angry - which is weird, actually.

Four days off now though!
