Mother is kicking me out.
I am almost 18 and my mother is kicking me out at 18... I am going to loose all my coverage (insurance wise), housing, no money for college because she is threatening to withhold my college savings account money. I don't have a place to live in my state. I don't know what I need to have with me when I move out document wise... Please help

Hi there, that sounds like such a difficult situation and it's no wonder you are stressed.
Is there anything in particular that has happened that has caused your mother to say you have to move out? This site looks like it could be really helpful for you to find somewhere else to live and gain advice. |
In regards to your college savings money, if that account is in your name, she can't touch it. Do you have other family around that you could talk to about this that could perhaps talk to your mum for you and help her see sense?

not much to add, but i'll be thinking of you. perhaps you could stay with other family or friends at first until you work things out...

Sounds like a difficult situation to be and it's understandable you feel the way you do. Do you know why your mother wants to kick you out? Can't really add to the advice but I am thinking of you. Hope it all works out

Mom is kicking me out because I am a bad daughter and a crappy person in gerneral. Because it's a saving account for me under her name she can keep all the money. I can't stay with anyone because my mom will make their life hell for taking me in... do you kbow what documents I need to have to be able to live on my own?

To be able to live on your own, you'll need a picture ID or Passport, birth certificate, Social Security Card. If you want to get into your own apartment, you might need your own Checking or savings account. The big one is a job so you can prove to a landlord that you can pay your rent.

Thank you
