acting differently with different people

I'm not talking about the need for social graces with bosses etc.

Well while I'm desperately reading into all the psych related stuff, I recalled my behavior with different groups of friends. I'd have this friend, he's much more quieter than me so while I'm with him I'd be a pushover and show little to no emotions with him around. Basically it's the same for people who are generally quiet and doesn't have a strong personality.

On the other hand, I'd be completely meek with any person who has a strong personality, people who are the leader types, joker types who poke fun of everything and generally people who are much more outspoken. I'd laugh awkwardly at their jokes and when I don't know what's a proper way to respond to their jokes or whatever, I'd laugh.

Are there any related stuff i can dig into about this?

How'd you get on with your parents? What was school like?

oh, the closer I get to people, the more emotionless I am with them around, my parents knows and calls me emotionless sometimes. The same goes for best friends, I'd be pretty emotionless too, well not entirely too emotionless but I don't express or feel much happiness at all, however I express and feel anger easily with them around. So maybe to them I'm an grumpy friend

The opposite happens with people I don't know or have stronger personas, from the bottom of my heart I'd feel happiness but it's difficult to express it. Awkward laughter follows in.
