Opening ceremony looks good so far

Really wish we had a TV at times like these, it would be lovely to have the ceremony on in the background!

Also, Cam hasn't been online for over 24 hours. May be being BPD here, but I'm worried that she had died :-/

No :'( Although when we move, there is talk of Jodie getting her old TV from her dad's house, which is exciting. Maybe we will get A Package with our internet and then we can have ALL the channels!
And yeah, I just saw that and was relieved. I always think people have died, and they normally haven't :p

i had forgotten about paralympics opening ceremony. I didn't watch the olympics opening ceremony either though lol.

Whoop! Derailing is fun ... especially as the ceremony isn't being much of that at the moment!

Yes that would have made sense Millaaaa. But as the TV is treating it as 2 serrate things so is RYL ... or something!

Anyone else think it's a bit off the coverage has been downgraded to channel 4?

Yes the coverage is nowhere as good as the BBC. Plus there's adverts, which makes it more annoying. :nono:

I actually don't mind that channel 4 had it if the coverage was similar to BBC's as they paid more money for it but it's not in part due to the blooming adverts and so on.

I watched the Adam Hill programme tonight, thought it was quite good, I'll carry on watching it I think :-) & my cousin was on it for like 2 seconds, lol

It's not been "downgraded", Channel 4 bid more money for it, and from what I understand are providing more coverage than the BBC were planning on.

I laughed at Oscar Pistorius' outburst. He didn't win and threw his toys out of the pram.

I don't like the adverts. They're every 5 mins!! Also I think Oscar pistorious should have had to choose either Olympics or Paralympics. Having him play in both seems unfair as surely you can't be disabled and abled at the same time?

Other than that I've not seen a lot to comment but the athletes all seem super happy to be there

In other news when I read the story about the window killing that woman in London I immediately worried it was an ryler until I realised how incredibly unlikely it would be.
