Don't really know what to do..

I have been severely depressed for 2years+ When I finally told my mum about everything in September 2010 I stopped going to school because I couldn't handle being around people and having to pretend that everything was okay, ( I'd been hiding how I was feeling from everyone, no one even knows about my depression now ) I went to the doctor, and I started seeing a counsellor, but she didn't think she was helping me that much so she referred me to someone else, but the depression just kept getting worse. It didn't help that I didn't like the counsellor anyway because she would just talk about me as if I wasn't in the room. She discharged me last year because according to her I didn't show up to any of my sessions with her, which I did. So I haven't really had any help since June last year so I'm kind of just dealing with it on my own.. It scares me sometimes though.
This year has been crap anyway because I almost died in march because I had septic arthritis in my left hip and I had to have an emergency operation and I had to stay in hospital for two weeks and a load of other stuff. I've also found out that I have shallow hips and I have Inflammatory Arthritis for the rest of my life. Some days I'm lucky if I can even walk.
I'm 16 now so I'm done with school, but I haven't done any of my exams, and I can't go and get a job because of this and I don't know what to do. :crying: I keep having nightmares and bad thoughts and I keep thinking about hurting myself and I just feel empty :crying:

I can't offer any advice but maybe you can see another therapist? :( it's really hard to fight depression all by yourself so if you're not seeing any therapist right now maybe you can start searching for one? Big hugs, hope your days will get better xxx

Do you think it might be time to try and get some professional help again? You could try talking to your mum about it again, or if you don't feel you can do that you are old enough to see your GP on your own now!

Also maybe you could think about enrolling in a full time or part time course for September to help you get some qualifications so it would be easier to get a job in future? Most colleges have free courses such as Key Skills that get you English, Maths and ICT and it's not like being in school at all!

I can't really do anything about college or anything like that at the minute because of my Inflammatory Arthritis.. I'm lucky if I can walk most days, any of my joints can mess up so it's difficult to try and plan anything.:ermm:
