If it ain't one thing, it's another...
So, I've taken the plunge and been put on meds for that anxiety and for the depression. It makes me sleepy and jittery at first, then once I get myself together, I'm great. I feel normal again. All this has caused other medical problems, I was trying to get pregnant, but wasn't able to because of problems, all caused by the anxiety. Sometimes I feel as if I'm crazy, other times I feel fine. I just wish I could get all my medications straight, so I can move on with my life. I had to quit my job so I could focus on myself, and it put a strain on my marriage, well, my fiances mostly. I don't know how to function with all this crap. I don't know how to deal with the drama in my life and work, and function and be the best person I can be. Can anyone relate?

I understand honey. I'm afraid I don't have much advice right now, except that if you give it time you can straighten out the medication issues. *hugs*

Meds can take awhile, but can be really useful in becoming more stable. Stick with it, even if it seems hopeless.

I can relate to this.
My best advice would be to continue on the meds that work for at least a year. Research shows that if you stay on psych meds for more than a year (it is more for some meds you will have to speak to your prescribing doctor) your brain chemistary can be change so that the medication can be reduced or discontinued without you relapsing. Once you are able to to that you could then start to think about getting pregnant. I know it is frustrating but I have learnt that if you rush recovery from mental illness you can actually prolong the recovery time where as if you just give your self good time and you are kind to yourself things will start to fall into place naturally. Things will get better soon honey x |
