disabling smilies in posts?

dont think this has been asked....
but the option to disable smilies PER post is there....I'm wondering if its possible to disable them PERMANENTLY???
and of course (if so) how the hell to do it??????

Sadly I don't think there is any way - why exactly are you wanting this, are they that annoying?

It might just possibly be addable...

No i dont find them annoying in any way, it's just quite frequently when i try to 'use' one in a post...nothing happens...some always work..others dont seem too, THAT was the annoying bit...not being able to make use of them when i wanted...its odd because this is a new comp.
